Things take longer to accomplish as you age. I learned this from a book called “Honest Aging” written by gerontolgist Roseanne Leipzig, MD PhD and published by Johns Hopkins Press. I threw all those fancy credentials in there so you can believe that: things take longer to finish/accomplish/do when you get older. Starting at about age 65.
Probably for you it is age 99 or 100. For me, though, it’s 68. It coincided with my new computer, which uses Windows ie is not a Mac. I just started getting used to it and the software had an update so I am all eeeekkkk again. But I am managing because I am allowing myself to go slower. To learn slower. I’m still fine physically, even mentally, it’s just age. Which I always look at as an adventure.
I have already finished one book and turned it in to my very understanding editor. Now I have finished a very short book, possibly a novella or a long short story. A sweet Regency. Sweet as in no sex, not as in a compliment to myself. The current term for sweet is “clean” and I don’t like it as much. We old people think our words are better. Also our music. Also the pace of life back in the last century.
Cut to the chase: I have no more time to waste on Taylor and Travis. I love romance, love their story, and have been reading every tidbit about them on Apple News. I hope this is the one for both of them. It is (biologically) time and they both want kids. Did you notice Apple News never ends? It used to end. Now I can scroll for hours. I blame cats and Traylor. Thus, I am going on a social media break so I can revise my book. Well, I’ll still post here! I just won’t read the “news” for awhile. Because everything takes longer these days.
